Privacy Policy
Minnesota First Credit and Savings, Inc. has adopted a privacy policy that will help keep your financial information private and secure. This policy applies to products or services which we provide primarily for your personal, family, or household purposes. We have taken the steps described in this Notice to protect your privacy.
Definitions
- "We," "us" and "our" mean Minnesota First Credit and Savings, Inc.
- "Federal Privacy Act" means the privacy provisions in Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and also includes the applicable federal privacy regulations issued under that Act.

(a) credit or insurance to be used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes;
(b) employment purposes; or
(c) any other purpose authorized under section 604 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- "Nonpublic Personal Information" means nonpublic information that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to our customers.
- "Affiliate" means a company that we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us.
- "Nonaffiliated Third Parties" means a company that is not an affiliate of ours.
What Information We Collect About You
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from sources such as the following:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, nonaffiliated third parties, or others; and
- Information we receive from an outside company, such as a consumer report from a credit bureau, providing your credit history or employment verification.
What Information We Disclose About You
We do not and will not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to affiliates or nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law.
Employee Access to Customer Information
Our employees are trained to respect customer privacy and to access nonpublic personal information only when they have a business reason to know the information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Confidentiality and Security
We have adopted and implemented a privacy policy to help protect your nonpublic personal information as required by law.
To secure the applications we accept on-line, we use an ssl browser. Generally,
however, e-mail to and from Minnesota First is not secure.
Minnesota First gathers and analyzes data regarding usage of our web site,
including number of hits, number of visits, etc., to evaluate the usefulness
of the site.
